Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) (Hons.)

The basic purpose of BBA(Hons) degree is to gain a full knowledge of main disciplines relevant to business management. In this program the students are provided a strong foundation in the basic fields and are also exposed to the latest issues and topics facing business leaders today. BBA (Hons) is a 4 year bechalor degree, Generally BBA (Hons) is not a terminal degree and most of the students would go for their MBA before getting into the job market. However, the program is designed in such a way that graduates should be capable of getting reasonable jobs in the market and also in multinational Farms.

Eligibility:
HSSC (FA / FSC)/A-level or Equivalent form recognized institution with at least 50 % marks without NCC. Candidates having A Level require equivalence certificate.

Medium of Study:
BBA (hons) is totally in English

Degree Requirements

The BBA programme requires students to complete 120 Modular Credits (MCs) to graduate. After completing at least 56 MCs of Business Foundation/Essential/Elective modules, students with Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of at least 3.5 (out of 5.0) will be invited to join the BBA Honours BBA(Hons) or BBA(Acc) programme, which requires 160 modular credits for graduation (40 more than for the BBA programme).

When registering for modules, students must note any prerequisites that indicate the base of knowledge on which the subject matter of a particular module will be built. Before taking a module, a student should complete any prerequisite module(s) listed for that particular module. Where prerequisites are specified, equivalent modules will also be accepted. If in doubt, students should consult the course instructor or academic advisors regarding any acceptable equivalent prerequisite modules.

The degree requirements for 3-year BBA program and the 4-year BBA Honours program are listed in Tables 1 and 2 below. These requirements follow the NUS undergraduate curriculum structure having the following outline:

In this context, the only Major in the BBA is Business, and the only Major in the BBA(Acc) is Accountancy.

A Business Specialisation requires 20 MCs; a Minor requires 24 MCs; a second Major requires 48 MCs; a second Degree requires more.
